LASIK eye surgery is increasingly becoming more and more popular among glasses and contact wearers. This is partly due to the minimal side effects associated with this surgery. This is still a surgery and should only be performed by an experienced LASIK eye surgeon who has a proven track record of successful LASIK surgeries. It is very important that you are comfortable with the doctor you choose to do yours.

The side effects of LASIK eye surgery are experienced by a relatively small percentage of patients. It has been reported that about 1 to 5% of patients will experience some kind of side effect. Fortunately, the majority of these patients experience very minor side effects and usually have good LASIK results overall.

Many different surveys have helped to shed light on the different side effects and different factors that may cause the. One of of the biggest factors is the surgeon that performs your surgery. On this topic, San Diego has proven to have outstanding results with performing LASIK eye surgery. San Diego LASIK eye surgery surgeons have displayed outstanding consistent results while performing LASIK. Other side effects that have been reported by patients include sensitivity to light and about 1.6% of patients; night vision problems and about 3.5% of patients; and fluctuation issues in approximately 2.6% of patients. Overall, relatively small percentages.

The highest risk for this surgery is the possibility of infection. For this reason, eyedrops are used after the surgery to prevent this from happening. Another side effect some patients report is that their cornea is either wrinkled or raised. Fortunately, this problem is easily corrected by your surgeon. Regardless if the patient suffers any side effects or not, they are still required to maintain regular doctor visits.

If you are experiencing any type of discomfort, you should not hesitate to contact your doctor. Depending on the problem it may or may not be corrected. Sometimes irritation can be commonly do to foreign substances being in your eye, in which your doctor can quickly resolve the irritation.

After your LASIK eye surgery procedure, it is wise to pay close attention to your eyes during the healing process. There are a few things to refrain from doing from the first 2 to 4 weeks after their procedure. The most important by far is to not rub your eyes under any circumstances, as the flap will take approximately 2 weeks to heal completely and if it is out of place it will require additional surgery to fix.

You should also avoid windy conditions or even fans, as these can dry out your eyes. It is better for you to stay home and rest and if you feel your eyes becoming dry, use the eyedrops provided. Swimming should also be avoided for at least four weeks after your procedure. Sorry ladies, but you should not wear any type of makeup that comes anywhere close to your eyes into your eyes are completely healed.

Sometimes complications from LASIK eye surgery cannot be avoided. But to lower your risk, perhaps the best way is to select a skilled LASIK eye surgeon with a great history. Depending on where you are located, this could mean traveling to a city such as San Diego to visit a San Diego LASIK professional. Fortunately, LASIK eye surgery has very few complications and has proved to be a very safe procedure.

Deciding to have laser eye surgery is a big decision and it is important that you fully understand everything about the procedure. Finding a laser eye surgeon whom you trust is probably the single most important factor in being confident to go ahead and have laser eye surgery.

There are many things to consider when you decide on your laser eye surgeon and often it just comes down to instinct. However the following is a list of things that you should at least take in account as they are the most important factors to consider:

Word of mouth: Getting a recommendation about a laser eye surgeon from someone you know who has already had laser eye surgery is extremely helpful. You can then find out all the information about the surgeon from someone you trust, rather than from having to take the word of the clinic themselves.

Laser consultation: Most clinics offer free laser eye surgery consultations and this is a great way to assess if you are happy with the particular surgeon. The surgeon may carry out your consultation in certain clinics whereas in others it may be an optician. Be sure to ask to meet the surgeon who will be carrying out your surgery.

Qualifications: It is important to ask what qualifications your surgeon holds and any additional skills they may have. Make a point of asking if they have received specialist refractive training in laser eye surgery and ask if they are members of the royal college of ophthalmic surgeons. This means they have achieved the very best training.

Experience: It is important that your laser eye surgeon has lots of experience as this is a sure way to be confident that they are competent at the procedure. Check your surgeon has carried out at least 400 laser eye surgeries in the past year and at least 100 of the exact same procedure that you are having.

If you are interested in laser eye treatment or laser eye surgery then visit treatmentsaver.com

Eye glasses can be uncomfortable and awkward to wear, and they can interfere with many activities, like playing sports. For this reason, more and more people are choosing to wear contacts. But, these days, you can have your vision corrected while staying trendy by way of the use of a color contact lens of your choice.

Contact lenses have been very popular for a long time now, because they are a very good alternative when it comes to wearing eyeglasses. However, nowadays, you can solve problems with your eye sight with style by way of the use of colored contact lenses in any color you desire.

These coloured plastic lenses are best to use on parties and various occasions. Glasses can be annoying to wear, especially if you’re getting all dressed up for a special occasion. Colored contacts allow you to let your entire face be seen, while helping your eye sight too.

Green contact lenses are especially stunning and give your eyes a beautiful radiance. If you have light colored eyes, green contact lenses provide the perfect hue.

You are able to choose from numerous ranges of contact lens colors such as honey brown, amethyst, and cobalt blue. Sporting contact lenses doesn’t actually mean that you must transform the true shade of your eyes. You can simply enhance the true color of your eyes, with slightly tinted contacts, that bring out the natural tones in your eyes. Usually, this particular colour contact lens is known as enhancement tint lenses.

If you’re looking for the hottest colors in contact lenses today, green contact lenses definitely are at the top of the list, along with deep blues, and vibrant violets.

In addition to giving you a more chic appearance, sporing these lenses has a lot of benefits. Contacts will improve your eye sight, and they may be a quite good remedy to quell different eye problems such as, anterior corneal dystrophy, corneal edema, corneal ulcers and a number of different eye problems.

Whether it’s to correct a vision problem, or simply for style, ensure that you’re wearing the contact lenses that are perfect for your eyes. An eye care professional will be able to help you find exactly what your looking for. Ask your eye doctor to take the required eye measurements, and ask for a prescription and additionally a product recommendation for further reference.

After consulting an eye specialist and purchasing your colour contact lens, you must make sure to take good care of them. Some supplies are necessary, in order to take proper care of your contacts, such as saline, and a storage case. Everything you need should be on hand at all times so you can maximize its use.

Now, however, there are a few other ways to correct your eye sight. LASIK eye surgery is one. Millions have had LASIK eye surgery, because of its relative effectiveness and safety.

This process replaces an eyes bad lens with an artificial lens, ideally a candidate for this type of eye surgery should be between eighteen and twenty-one years of age. However, many parents would like to know if LASIK eye surgery can benefit their younger children. And older individuals are concerned about this as well. There are definite factors to be considered here.

Most doctors will not recommend LASIK eye surgery for a child unless he or she has extreme vision issues, as a person’s eyes are not fully developed until around the age of 18. There are a variety of different reasons why LASIK eye surgery is typically advised for adults. Perhaps one of the biggest reasons is that because this surgery is performed while the patient is awake, children may need to be sedated because they tend to be restless and unable to remain still.

There is little evidential support, however, to confirm that LASIK eye surgery is safe for children under the age of eighteen. A child’s eyes constantly change during the years of development and although the eyes usually complete their changes around eighteen years of age, there are times it may take longer, until the age of twenty-one. This depends on the child and it has also been advised that individuals from the ages of twenty-one to thirty years of age would also benefit from this LASIK eye surgery.

Age is a factor with LASIK eye surgery. Older individuals are also concerned, as to whether they will be candidates for LASIK eye surgery, further down the road, after the age of forty. As an individual ages they should be concerned that eye problems may develop that cannot be corrected with LASIK eye surgery. For example, when the eyes lens cannot focus due to its inflexibility, not being able to change its focus between objects that are far or near – this is called “presbyopia.” LASIK eye surgery has no effect on this type of eye condition.

If you have questions regarding LASIK eye surgery is always recommended to consult a professional. They are the only ones qualified to offer you medical advice, especially if your questions are about San Diego LASIK eye surgery for a child.

it is always his smarts to consult with a local licensed eye care professional about your concerns regarding LASIK.
Now we know that LASIK eye surgery is not for children under the age of eighteen, unless it’s a severe case. Not for the elderly either, as conditions that result as one grows older, are not helped by LASIK eye surgery. A properly licensed eye care professional will go over all the reason why not and if the eye surgery is advised, why you should have it and what’s entailed.
